Scene: Durbanville Hills Winery
Although it may have started slowly, going from being friends to dating casually, Amanda and Shaun’s relationship gathered considerable momentum once they realised they were meant for each other. After a whirlwind proposal, their journey to the aisle went at a breakneck pace. Going full speed ahead, Shaun and Amanda were engaged after being together for only a few months.
Two months before the big day, wedding preparations began in earnest – a fraction of the time that most brides need to prepare, but more than enough time for Amanda, and in keeping with the tone of her and Shaun’s relationship thus far. Their simple, evening wedding at Durbanville Hills, organised with Amanda’s mother’s help, was an event that is still being talked about by the guests who were lucky enough to attend such a beautiful celebration.
And Amanda’s most treasured memory of the evening? Kissing her husband for the first time. A fitting start to a new journey, and a good omen for their future together as man and wife.
