Bride: Marguerite Nolte Wedding date: 30 January 2009 Wedding venue: Oakfield Farm Proposal details: Albert's mom is an interior designer. She phoned me and told me that she got the opportunity to re-decorate Castello di Monte in Waterkloof and that she would like Albert and me to come over one evening and have dinner with her. So we went…When we got there they asked if we were with Mrs. Cordier (his mom) and told us that she is running late and that we can go through to the dining area she reserved for the evening. I got a bit suspicious, BUT then I saw that the table was set for 3 people…It was very cold and rainy so we sat at the fireplace waiting for his mom…Then he popped the question!!! It was perfect, and obviously his mom didn't join us!!! The service was great as well as the food and the atmosphere from the fireplace!! |

So here's an updated pic and our tale. The faithful day was April 3, 2007, Al disguised popping the question on one of our dating anniversary days! It was romantic, complete with a champagne dinner, delicious dessert and a cocktails. As the evening grew to a close … back at he's place slow dancing, he pulled me away with a glint in he's eye, went down on one knee and presented a beautiful ring! We are so thrilled and excited for our future together, putting God first!! |
