Bride: Mandy Wedding date: 12 December 2009 Wedding venue: TBA Proposal details: WOW, what a proposal :) We went to a friend of ours farm in Limpopo with a few mates... It is a stunning farm, during the day our friend Dyl took us on a game ride, had a look at all the animals, saw beautiful rock paintings and just took in the peace and tranquility of the surrounding area. That evening we went up to one of the highest mountains on the farm to go and have a look at the beautiful sunset... On our way down, Dyl decided that i have my first experience of driving a safari 4X4 hahaha what fun... It was dark by the time we were on our way to the house so i was concentrating and making sure i dont drive into any animals tee-hee,, next thing i knew, Garth (my fiance) was next to me hanging out of the 4x4 telling me how much he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me, all of a sudden he is on his knee and propsing to me. I can't explain the feeling i felt when he proposed but it is defintely a moment and a feeling i will treasure forever... Definitely beats the traditional way of proposing..... :) |

Bride: Lynn Wedding date: 21 March 2009 Wedding venue: TBA Proposal details: Thomas planned that we go for a picnic the next day and I jumped at the chance as it is such a romantic gesture... After the meal we layed back on the rocks to enjoy the afternoon sun. Strangely enough he gets up in a instant as he mentions something about getting his cool drink but as he does this I realized that he had his cool drink and I looked at him and found him on his knees and that's when he asked me to be his Wife. I could have screamed my lungs out...YES! |

Bride: Belinda Horn Wedding date: 28 February 2009 Wedding venue: Tsčkama Private Nature Reserve Proposal details: Sjoe wat 'n suprise was dit nie!! Hy't my weggevat vir die naweek maar ek het nie geweet waarheen ons gaan nie! Toe ek weer sien trek ons by die lughawe in! Ons was Hartenbos toe! Net voor ons op George Lughawe land het hy gesę dat hy dringend moet badkamer toe en dat ek solank die tasse moet kry. Toe ons land is hy eerste by die vliegtuig uit. Ons het in die vierde ry van voor gesit so ek sou lekker vinnig by die vliegtuig kon uit. Maar hier kondig hulle af dat al die passasiers agter by die vliegtuig moet uitgaan! My moed het in my skoene gesak want toe is ek amper heel agter!! Die lugwaardin kom tik toe op my skouer en vra ek moet asb saam haar stap. Ek skrik toe groot en dog iets het met Rudi gebeur! (In die land is enige iets mos moontlik) Toe ek bo by die vliegtuig trappe kom, wag Rudi vir my onder!! Ek stap toe af, en daar sak hy op sy kniče voor almal!! (Yip, ROMANTIES VERBY!!) Ek het natuurlik in TRANE uitgebars! Kon nie eers die JA woord uitkry nie! Het net my kop op en af geknik. Ek het dit GLAD NIE verwag nie, aangesien ek die Donderdag voor ons gery het in die kluis by die huis gekyk het, en my Ouma se diamant was nog daar! Hy het toe al die tyd die regte diamant met 'n 'fake' omgeruil om my te flous! Hy ken my SO goed, het geweet ek is nuuskierig! |

Bride: Mariette Marais Wedding date: 11 April 2009 Wedding venue: Chez Charlene Proposal details: We had a party with the Durban band here in Pretoria. Gary had us all going and even had Alex singing for us all. They were doing a rap to the beat of "Fresh Prince of Bel-air" and Alex made a joke by Proposing with a washer.... everybody had a good giggle - Until he pulled out a diamond ring!!! You had to be there to see our faces!!! It was wonderful - no romantic, candle light night can compare to this special proposal!! |
