How We Met
We met our matric year in high school, a mutual friend who took the same subjects as David introduced us
The Proposal
When we got engaged

How it happened
We went to Grotto Bay new years day for a braai with family. David had bought my ring 2 months earlier already and had kept it in his parents safe. On this morning we drove up with his parents and he asked his mother to put the ring in her bag and bring it with. He had also sneaked out that morning early (to get tools out of his car) and phone my mother (divorced parents) and asked for my hand.
After lunch he suggested we go for a walk along the beach and watch the sunset, we normally do this so I was none the wiser. He stopped along the path and went down on one knee, a true romatic. Of course I cannot tell you everything that he did because the tears of joy were rolling down my face and with me looking down, they collected inside my sunglasses and I couldnt see. I'm a sucker for romance, of course I shed a tear. He even had to ask again to make sure I said yes, not sure he could hear through all the tears and gerks. But I DEFINATELY said yes. He's one in a million! Then came the ring out of his pocket and when he opened the box, I knew this was meant to be. It was the very first ring I had pointed out to him in a jeweller shop when we were still in our first years of dating. The one design that I have loved from the start. He remembered!

We are having the ceremony in a small stone chapel on the Erinvale Estate premises then to follow, we will be having a 3 course sit down meal in the Erinvale Hotel. Drinks will be served between the ceremony and the reception on the lawn. The venue is far so ensure that you leave at least 45min for drive time.
