I am a born & bread Capetonian working for an international auditing firm as an Executive Assistant. Soon to be 25 and already getting married. Please ladies bring on the advice.
I undoubtedly thought I was the only girl in high school who never dreamt of “the big day”. In fact, the honest truth is I dreaded it.
As a teenager I feared bringing home a boyfriend. I never really had a father, only a very loud and proud mother who acted like a “father”. So who could blame me of fearing my mother walking me down the isle on my big day.
Those haunting thoughts changed with age and God has planned everything perfectly to his will. Today I don’t mind having my mother walk me down the isle. For goodness sake, where did the tradition come from anyways.
Dieter is a true James Dean rebel, but with more balls. (Am I allowed to say this?)
He is a passionate leader and good listener to his family, friends and colleagues and even his job description portrays that.
He works for a well-known retail company as a brand manager and travels nationally, at least 2 days a week. A dream job to all “boys” I suppose. This 26 year old has made a name for himself at the early age. Born in Johannesburg and living in Cape Town for 15 or so years. He has travelled and worked in Saudi Arabia and has done braver things that anyone could ever imagine. Or is silly things?
Oh well, I am the chalk and he is the cheese in this relationship.
The somewhat conservative thinker and the extreme chance-taker is living proof that opposites truly attract!
Ummm... in a store at Canal Walk.

After 4 months of dating and to my surprise, this guy already knew what he wanted. Like I said earlier, the chance-taker.
Dieter attempted a speech and proposed on Table Mountain.
I have never seen any guy so shy.
